Friendly and multilingual staff exceed expectations.
The air conditioning in the room was not operational. I found myself confronted with a rude receptionist who seemed too busy to assist when I had parking inquiries. To top it off, the noise from the street outside was unbearable.

I stayed for 4 nights to explore the historic sites in Padova. The room was clean and well-equipped, complete with towels, a hairdryer, and a TV that had Netflix and YouTube, which was a pleasant surprise. The breakfast was fantastic, especially considering it was just €5, offering a variety of options that rivaled more expensive places I visited. While the location was convenient for the train station, the surrounding area seemed a bit industrial and less inviting at times.

Hotel Cason is very close to the station so makes Venice trips very easy. It is also at the beginning of the tram line for easy access to central Padova (also close walking distance). Many bars and restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. Parking is free. Rooms are comfortable. Our a.c didn't seem to work well the first night, but the staff quickly sorted this out for us.
Hotel is rather dated, so although comfortable, some parts could do with an update. The area between the station and the hotel felt a bit 'dodgy' however, we had no trouble walking back at night. The railway is very close - we didn't have any noise problem, as in this season the a.c is on and windows are closed - I imagine it is noisy in seasons when you need your window open.

Breakfast was good. Hotel lobby looks presentable. The staff was friendly most of the time.
The weather was very hot and the aircon took a long time to cool the room. Furthermore, electricity supply was cut every time we left the room, so we could not leave the aircon running. The shower cubicle was small, and there was a problem with the water pressure was well (the water was either too hot, or the pressure was too low). That was fixed, however, when we informed the staff about it. When I paid for the internet, the username and password given worked for 5minutes, but were invalid after that. The reception staff refused to give me a replacement password, insisting that the login details normally work, and instead gave me a refund and requested me to use the computer at the lobby. The walking directions from the train station given by the hotel included a path through a dark area with people lurking around, which may not be safe at night.

The location, though challenging to find initially, has a sign directing you correctly. Internet connection solid, with good-sized safe for your belongings and a breakfast that satisfies without breaking the bank.
Requested a quiet room but ended up on the first floor overlooking the main road, resulting in noise and smoke from outside guests. The lack of A/C or even a fan forced me to open windows for ventilation, amplifying the street noise. Thin walls.

The rates were reasonable, and location convenient for the train station. The breakfast was spectacular.
The rooms need to be modernized. In particular the furniture was somewhat outdated. This may also help make the rooms feel a little cozsier.
